Talents:
Nightmares – he is able to create horrible nightmares while a person sleeps.
Dream Manipulation – manipulate a person’s dream into a nightmare. One moment they can be frolicking in field flowers, the next they are overcome by flesh eating bugs.
Webs – With about any type of thread or wire he can create a web from it, handy for catching bugs or even people. Dryden has even used human hair for his webs.
Weaving/Knitting: A more practical use of his web ability. Dryden loves to make blankets and sweaters for the winter. So don’t be surprised if he says he has a gift for you.
Hypnosis: Probably one of Dryden’s best abilities. He can put humans in a mild trance, good for quick escapes or putting woken up groggy victims back to sleep. However, he cannot mind control people with it, no quacking like a duck or anything like that.

Strengths:
Night hours – His powers are stronger at night, during the day he is very limited on what he can do. Dryden also feeds (lives on nightmares) during the night.
Skilled fingers – He is very good with his hands, dexterous digits that aren’t hindered by their long sharp nails. In fact he can use his nails to his advantage for pilling and looping thin strands of thread.

Weaknesses:
Daylight – It seems to make him feel ill, like sun sickness or heat stroke. He likes to use an umbrella if he has to step outside during the day. The day time also weakens his powers. Dryden can’t create nightmares on people that napping during the day and hypnosis is limited to probably a minute at most.
Nutella – A funny weakness but he loves this hazelnut spread. He’ll eat it on anything and if he could put it on a nightmare he would.

Likes:
Being the best, Nutella and other hazelnut treats, sleeping people, knitting and weaving, classical music, Freddy Krueger, full moons and clear nights, and praise from his grandmother.

Dislikes:
Being one upped, getting yelled at, hot weather, being forced outside during the day time, breaking his webs, good dreams and having people hate him.

Personality:
Dryden is a smooth operator. He can talk people down from their anger, often directed towards him, and even make them come out happy in the end. Of course this makes him rather full of himself; he is lack for a better word a brat. He thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread. So he often talks down to others and waves them off if he isn’t interested in talking. It makes it hard for him to make friends. So he does try hard to keep his arrogant ways from making him a total asshole. When he does look past his own awesomeness he can be a rather good person. Dryden will help out someone in need, even if he might say something rude in the end.
His own nature does make him feel like he needs to prove himself too, he doesn’t like failure or half-assed work. Dryden will sometimes work himself tired just to get something right. This includes making things up to people he has wronged. Oh he will insult you but don’t be surprised that you’ll receive a gift from him a few days later to make up for it.

History:
Born as a Mare there were high expectations of him, to be able to make the best nightmares around. This is how he first became obsessed with being better than others because his grandmother would often push him. Yelling at him that lizards are creepy but walking rotting corpses were better. So Dryden always striven to make his grandmother happy, especially since it was just him and her. He never knew his parents nor does he know what happened to them. His grandmother wouldn’t speak of it, brushing him off. As he got older the expectations of him grew too, especially now that his grandmother is getting up in the years.

Reason for Joining HA: Dryden wants to further improve on his abilities and make himself and his grandmother happy. Though it may be hard to quell his urge to become the best perhaps the academy will be able to help him out with that and to overall make him a better person.
